Happy July!
I hope you, yes you, you reading this, are having a great summer! May you continue to soak up the warm summer air for as long as possible, or as long as it lasts!
As we are in the middle of July, I have realized that I may always have this sense of perseverance every summer during this time, unlike any other. Why during this exact time each year, might one ask? Because on July 21st, 2021, I filed for an LLC in Florida, and it feels as if yesterday I was in my little cocoon and didn't even know where to start.
After learning a plethora of the ins and outs from "Youtube University,"; Google; knowledge from my Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology; a lot of answered questions and patience from Hailey, and an abundance of creativity and time from Ali; Inspira emerged from its chrysalis and launched on November 5th, 2021.
Since November 5th, we have launched seven new products, brought on one independent contractor and several interns on our social media and business administration sides, proudly maintained a 0% return rate, and donated portions of our proceeds to the Lupus Foundation of America. Thank you to each intern who has put in hours of hard work accepting feedback so graciously to gain experience and college credit. Each person who has modeled samples from manufacturers to ensure one product can fit many body shapes, and those who have inspired those around them in their Inspira activewear mean the world.
Thank you to those who have shared entrepreneurship guidance and my professors for your perspective and wise words. I am so thankful for each person who has helped Inspira learn to fly and support the Lupus Foundation of America.
I often emphasize how important it is to acknowledge the rearview because we would not be where we are if it was not for each step it all started with. We may have an immense amount left to grow, though I am genuinely so proud of each step this metamorphosis has embarked on.
